ARLINGTON--The Arlington Police and Arlington Fire departments are collaborating with “A Wish with Wings” to make a dream come true for a 7-year-old boy who has leukemia. On Saturday, April 14, the public safety agencies and “A Wish with Wings” are going to grant a Batman adventure wish for the boy, who is not being named at this point to maintain the element of surprise. The adventure will begin for this little boy at 10 a.m. Saturday and end with a special ceremony at City Hall at 2 p.m.  As a hint, this adventure will include a bank, fake money, motors officers, a bogus “bomb” and couple of cackling villains whose criminal acts are foiled by the good guys.

Making this adventure a success, has required plenty of planning, coordination and a team of noble volunteers, including actors and safety coordinators. Six Flags Over Texas pitched in to provide him with a gift basket containing Batman adventure materials and souvenirs.  Worthington National Bank and Babe’s Chicken are also playing a role in helping make this adventure day a special one.
