5 Arlington Easter egg hunts to enjoy with the kids
Easter is just around the corner, which means children will be anxious to search for their favorite colored eggs filled with candy and prizes. Here are five Easter egg hunts happening in Arlington to consider attending.
1. Celebrate Easter at Six Flags!
The first 100 guests to arrive early and receive a PEEPS egg hunt wristband can participate in the Six Flags Easter Egg Hunt before the park opens on Saturday, April 19. Participating guests will have the chance to search for eggs filled with PEEPS candies. Only children 12-and-under can participate in the egg hunt. Each participant can receive up to three spectator wristbands for friends and family. Guests will need to purchase an entry ticket to the park to get an event wristband.
When: Apr. 19 – before Park opening at 10 a.m.

2. UT Arlington Alumni Association Picnic and Tailgate
The UT Arlington Alumni Association hosts its annual Picnic and Tailgate event Saturday, April 19 – which features an Easter egg hunt with orange and blue eggs decorated with the school’s mascot, Blaze the Maverick. Grease Monkey will cater lunch with a burgers, chicken sandwiches, and sides. The event kicks off at 12 p.m. The Easter egg hunt is expected to start at 12:30 p.m. Cost to non-alumni is $15.

3. Easter Funanza at Hugh Smith Rec Center
Bring your kids to Hugh Smith Recreation Center on April 19 for an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny. There will also be an Easter egg hunt and other family activities at this free event.

4. Easter Bunny’s Workshop
Bring the kids to Dottie Lynn Recreation Center on Apr. 16 for the Easter Bunny’s Workshop. Activities include decorating eggs, crafts, and an Easter egg hunt.

5. Eggs and Fish at Stovall Park
The ladies of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and the men of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity will host their 5th Annual Blue & White Crawfish Boil and Fish Fry at Stovall Park on Apr. 19. Families are invited to come out to the park and enjoy fun activities such as an Easter egg hunt, games, basketball, and “Seafood! Seafood! Seafood!”
